This gap is due to a lack of practical skill-building and collaboration on long-term game projects that impede the development of a job-ready portfolio. Connecting with mentors there to help, working alongside like-minded developers in a space dedicated to the craft and participating in programs that will take anyone interested in gaming to the next level. Many emerging developers are left to wonder what they need to do succeed. We know this because we talked to over 300 of them. There is long gap present, and we wish to fill it by connecting developers to industry professional EARLY and giving them the tools and time they need to develop their skills by applying their knowledge on ongoing projects.
